Years and years ago, when we first began our adoption process, I wrote about it in just a Word document. Then, during our second and third adoptions, I had a blog .But then life caught up with me, and I stopped writing. I have missed it, and the Lord has been gracious enough during the past year to give me writing opportunities for a ministry I am working with which has lit the fire for me to write again.
As I considered what to call my blog and what I would write about, so many of my life’s experiences came to mind. From broken and mended relationships, marriage growth opportunities, adoption and parenting, health struggles and scares, and times of personal growth and friends made during volunteer work that I have been blessed to be able to be involved with. When I look at this list, there is one theme running through the entire thing. Prayer. I have prayed over all of these things.
I do not know if what I write will touch anyone else’s hearts or lives, but I pray that if nothing else, it will inspire you to pray. Pray when things are going well, pray when things are not going well, pray all of the time. And as you are praying, then expect great things. Expect God to answer! He is a good, faithful, loving Father. He wants us to talk to Him and He wants to give us good things. I have had many ups and downs in my life, even over the last couple of years, but the one thing that has remained the same, is the Father Who is there, listening to me, staying with me through everything I am going through, and answering my prayer, sometimes in ways I could have never imagined.
