Transformation. When I look at these two pictures, I see transformation. And this is after the awful carpet came up, so the transformation is truly even more stunning.

Metamorphosis, the process of changing from one thing to another. It isn’t always easy. I will tell you even this change from mismatched, ugly floors to beautiful, continuous new ones wasn’t easy. It involved a lot of hard work on the part of many people, time, money, health risks (talk about allergy and asthma flares when removing tile). But the end result is so stunning and worthwhile.

We as Christians are always to be in a state of change, becoming more like Christ. Romans 12:1,2 tell us to transformed by the renewing of our minds. How do we do that? We spend time in prayer, in Bible reading, listening to worship music, attending church, fellowships with other believers.

We want our lives to go from being ugly and a mismatched eyesore to a stunning display of God’s handiwork pointing back to Him. Are you willing to put in the time and effort to allow Him to transform you?
